Mr. Swig serves as President of SwigEquities, LLC, an investment and development firm focusing on the acquisition and development of real estate in New York City and California.  Since 2001, SwigEquities has purchased and/or is in the process of developing in excess of $3 billion worth of properties, which include 110 William Street, a 900,000-square-foot office building; 90 Broad Street, a 25-story, 400,000-square-foot office building; 80 Broad Street, a 400,000-square-foot office building; 5 Hanover Square, a 320,000-square-foot office building; 44 Wall Street, a 350,000-square-foot office building; 48 Wall Street, a 324,000-square-foot office building; 770 Lexington Avenue, a 155,000-square-foot commercial office building; and 450 Sansome Street, a 140,000-square-foot office building located in San Francisco.

In addition, SwigEquities’ residential acquisitions include The Sheffield57, a 58-story mixed-use building comprising 845 residential units,109,000 square feet of office and 8,600 square feet of retail space; 25 Broad Street, a 565,000-square-foot, 346-unit residential building located in Downtown Manhattan; 201 West 92nd Street, a 134-unit residential building; and 112 apartments within the 198-unit residential building located at 401 East 89th Street, among others.

Kent M. Swig is also Owner and Co-Chairman of Terra Holdings, LLC, a company that owns and operates several real estate service firms including Brown Harris Stevens, one of the oldest and largest residential real estate service providers operating in New York City, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach; Halstead Property Company, a residential brokerage and management company; Vanderbilt Holdings, a service firm with disciplines in appraisal and consulting, advertising and marketing, insurance, and residential mortgage brokerage.  The combination of Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property Company sold more than $6.0 billion of apartments and townhouses during the calendar year 2004, and the company’s management divisions manage over 300 buildings comprising more than 20,000 residential units.

Mr. Swig is also a principal in and serves as Chairman of the Board of The Swig Company, a family-owned real estate and hotel company based in San Francisco and New York.  The Swig Company's portfolio includes over 11 million square feet of prime commercial office space throughout the United States as well as two of more than 50 hotels that comprise the prestigious Fairmont Hotels chain.

After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese History from Brown University, Providence, R.I., Mr. Swig attended Hastings College of Law, San Francisco, where he was selected for the Law Review.
