Matt Landau
is a Principal of Westport Capital Partners, an institutional investment firm managing 3 distinct real estate funds.  Mr. Landau is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and closing new business, asset management, and is a member of the firm’s Credit Committee.  Before joining Westport in 2006, Mr. Landau was a Managing Director at Natixis, a AAA-rated investment bank, where he was responsible for originating, underwriting, and closing structured debt and equity products.  Mr. Landau joined in 2002, after working at Bear Stearns for five years in a similar role.  Prior to Bear Stearns, he was a Director at Deutsche Bank for two years, a Director and Real Estate Department Head at HSBC for three years, and a VP at Citibank for four years.
          Mr. Landau remains active with the Real Estate Lenders Association, previously serving as its Chairman and currently serving on its Board of Directors.  Mr. Landau received a B.S., with Honors, from SUNY-Albany, and an M.S. with honors in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.  He is an active conference speaker on Real Estate Opportunity Funds, Hedge Funds, and Distressed Debt and resides in Westport, CT, with his family.
